Covid Courage

Battle Dress
Agincourt

We are in it now. Up to our necks. This virus not melting like winters snow nor evaporating like the dew of a summers morning. We have one hope only and that is all to gather our courage and behave as if our lives depended upon it, because it does.

Here I had just a few minutes to sit in the studio and say what has been on my mind, then recognized we have what amounts to a royal battle on our hands. I reached for my copy of Shakespeare’s complete works, and recite from habit the courageous speech of Henry V, because I need the inspiration to solider on.

Tis fearful odds, Henry V, Act IV, scene 3.
